El Presidio is the perfect venue for couples looking for a wedding venue with charm and character. Presidio de Santa Barbara was founded in 1783 and is now a renovated museum owned by the State of  California. It is the oldest Catholic church in Santa Barbara, although it is no longer a traditional church, so it allows non-denominational ceremonies.  Publicly owned properties are usually significantly less cost to rent then private venues.

The venue requires almost no additional decorations because of all of the art and color used throughout the chapel. El Presidio is built in the traditional adobe style, even on warm days the building remains comfortable.

The property has an event coordinator that is very helpful in creating a successful wedding. There is a private parking lot for your wedding guest and great rooms for your wedding party to pass the time before the ceremony.
