Cinderella’s Castle is Available for Your Wedding

Florida’s Disney World announced that couples can now plan their wedding ceremonies inside the Magic Kingdom at the park’s new East Plaza Garden. The East Plaza Garden will be available for 9:30 a.m. ceremonies and can accommodate a good-sized destination-wedding crowd of up to 100 people. The park will also be open to regular customers at that time. The East Plaza Garden will only be available for ceremonies.

Here’s one option available to couples planning a destination wedding at the happiest place on earth. A for the ride for the bride up Main Street U.S.A. in Cinderella’s horse-drawn carriage accompanied by bewigged, royal coachmen. A vintage jitney will have already deposited your spouse-to-be at the Magic Kingdom’s hub. Impeccably dressed trumpeters herald your arrival as your wedding guests stand and marvel. You will make your way through a manicured garden with the majestic Cinderella Castle as your backdrop.
Disney recently finished an impressive expansion and reconfiguration of the park to better control the flow guests, including new gardens on both sides. With its whimsical topiaries, fountain, and especially its striking views, the European-inspired garden on the Tomorrowland side is an ideal spot for a wedding.
“Couples have been clamoring to get closer to the iconic castle and hold their weddings in the theme park. Previously the only other Magic Kingdom spot has been the train station, and that has only been available in the early morning hours before the park opened. Now, in the shadows of the castle’s spires, brides and grooms will be able to indulge their wishes amid the park’s elegant, romantic, and nostalgic ambiance”, says McFann.
Disney World has been providing wedding services for many years. One of its most popular ceremony locations available to couples has been the wedding pavilion, located across the lagoon from the Magic Kingdom. The location offers a clear but distant, view of Cinderella’s Castle. Couples can choose among a variety of locations as a reception venue throughout the vast resort. The East Plaza Garden will only be available for ceremonies.
